A LiveDrive is a product offered by Creative Labs to allow access to sound card connections on the front of the computer. Its designed as a 5 1/4 inch drive in order to fit in the drive bay. There are two versions of the product. The Live Drive I which ships with the America's version of the Live!Platinum has the following front panel connections:

    - S/PDIF In (RCA/coaxial jack)
    - S/PDIF Out (RCA/coaxial jack)
    - Headphone Out (1/4 inch stereo jack with volume control)
    - Line In (1/4 inch stereo jack with shared Microphone In)
    - Microphone In (1/4 inch jack with gain control)
    - MIDI In (standard DIN)
    - MIDI Out (standard DIN)

The Live!Drive II which ships with the European version of the Live! has all of the above plus an extra RCA jack for stereo Aux In and it has two Optical connector for Optical SPDIF In and Out.

Both versions also have an internal header that allows a digital expansion board like the original I/O board that shipped with the full version of the Live to be connected. The LiveDrive I is expected to sell separately for around US$ 129 and the LiveDrive II is expected to sell separately for around US$150
