A growing collection of questions and answers for Creative Labs 10K1 based cards including the original Live and Live Value, the MP3+, the X-Gamer, the Player 1024 and the Platinum. Our FAQ is intended to supplement but not replace Creative's own extensive FAQs.

    19. I just installed LW 3.0 and I can't find all the legacy game presets. Where are they? - Top

With LW 3.0 Creative no longer adds all of the legacy presets to your registry. This results in faster load times but means you have to add the ones you do want to use. Here is what to do:

Imported presets are actually Super-Environment presets that contain Environmental Audio, speaker and mixer settings.

**How to import presets from Surround Mixer**

    - Start Surround Mixer from Creative Launcher.

    - In Surround Mixer, click the Options button at the top right hand corner and then select Import Preset.

    - A directory that stores the Super-Environment presets according to their associated speaker setup and tasks will be displayed.

    - Find and import the Super-Environment presets you need. You should now see the presets listed in Surround Mixer.

    - If you wish, you can associate these presets to an application using Live!Task Manager . By doing so, you can start an application with its preset by selecting it from the Live!Task tab in Creative Launcher.
