Aureal has indicated that support for A3D on alternative OSes depends on the content demand for it.
In terms of Linux and A3D support, they are currently wrapping up the final issues in releasing the A3D 3.0 Software Development Kit for the Windows OSes. Porting A3D 3.0 to other platforms is the next task for that engineering group. They are also closely working with other Linux developers to ensure that they (Aureal) create something that will have a very positive impact on audio and gaming in the Linux environment.
