    Sony announced that Aureal was selected to provide the A3D 3.0 API and engine on PSX2. Neither Aureal or Sony has said much about it yet but we know Aureal can have A3D 3.0 scale down to work on the PSX2's hardware. Aureal has also indicated that they would love to have their hardware on the PSX3 and are talking to Sony about it.
