Yes, it is normal. Only audio that gets processed by the Vortex 2 chipset can get EQ'ed and sent to 4 speakers. The wavetable header audio goes straight to the codec, bypassing the Vortex 2 chipset for the cleanest possible audio. - Updated: November 29, 1999
