  • The Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Will Support 3D sound
A preview of the upcoming Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic on ActionTrip reveals that the game will take advantage of 3D sound. It's a RPG developed by BioWare and will be available for both the Xbox and the PC. Here's the sound bit:The creative team at Bioware also assured that the game's going to have realistic 3D sound effects. Characters will move their lips when chatting, every weapon has a unique sound, and the soundtrack will undoubtedly create that epic Star Wars atmosphere we're all so crazy about (enter John Williams and his masterful themes).

  • Hercules Gamesurround Muse 5.1 DVD and XPS 510 Speakers
Bjorn3D has posted a review of Hercules CMedia CMI8738 based Muse 5.1 DVD and Hercules inexpensive (Sub $100) 5.1 system, the XPS 510. Bjorn3D thinks it's a great buy unless you are prepared to pay a lot more than the $120 this soundcard and speaker system (combined) retails for.
  • Creative Labs Inspire 4.1
Quadract has done a review of Creative Labs Inspire 4.1 Speakers. They found this system, formerly known as the Inspire 4.1 4400, to perform very well overall considering the price ($80) even though they think the subwoofer could have been more powerful. The review lacks comparisons to any other system.
