| SAN MATEO, Calif., June 7
/PRNewswire/ -- Voquette, Inc., a pioneer in personal Web audio, today announced its
Voquette Media Manager(TM) (VMM) software will support the Microsoft Windows Media
Format(TM) and integrated digital rights management. Voquette (www.voquette.com) offers the easiest way for Web audio users to find, listen to and record all popular forms of digital audio, including streaming programs and MP3s. Leading content providers, devices, media players and jukeboxes have embraced the Windows Media Format, so supporting this format allows us to meet the needs of a wider range of consumers and content providers,'' said Kurt Ohlfs, vice president of technology strategy for Voquette. ``Microsoft is pleased that Voquette has implemented Windows Media support in its application,'' said Kevin Unangst, group product manager, Digital Media Division, Microsoft Corp. ``Windows Media will offer Voquette customers the advantages of CD-quality audio in half the size of MP3 files, along with effective content protection to enable secure music so that consumers can get access to top artists from major labels.''
