Web-connected DVZINEs (digital video magazines on DVD) has signed a deal with Wherehouse
Music to distribute 250,000 copies of 750 MPH, its progressive rock DVZINE, as a point of
purchase give-away in over 500 Wherehouse Music retail stores nationwide starting Jan. 2,
2001. 750 MPH marks the second title to be ``published'' by BroadcastDVD; its first, FILM-FEST, chronicles the independent film festival world. With its DVZINEs, BroadcastDVD has taken the DVD beyond movies and elevated the magazine format to a whole new level as well. By integrating cutting-edge DVD technology with seamless Web functionality and compelling content and editorial coverage, BroadcastDVD delivers a whole new entertainment medium. ``The Wherehouse Music distribution deal,'' said Gerry Cueller, BroadcastDVD COO and 750 MPH executive producer, ``will launch our DVZINE concept as well as the artists and bands featured on 750 MPH in front of an ideal audience, and at a time when DVD players, computers and gaming devices as well as the latest new music releases, will be top of mind.'' The premiere issue of 750 MPH will include over two hours of music, music videos, live performances, interviews and profiles of today's hottest artists.
