InnoGear Ships MiniJam, the First Expandable MP3 Player for the Handspring Visor Handheld Computer

In addition to enhancing the Handspring(TM) Visor(TM) handheld computer with the ability to play digital audio music, MiniJam(TM) provides users with a full multimedia experience

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2000-- InnoGear today announced the company began shipping its award-winning product, the MiniJam(TM) MP3 player.

It's the only MP3 player for the Handspring(TM) Visor(TM) handheld computer to perform multiple functions: an e-Book reader, an image/slide-show viewer, has a flashing LED alarm and plenty of room to store files. MiniJam's large storage capacity -- up to 128 MB -- allows for the storage of PalmOS(TM) applications, databases and image files. ``Savvy consumer electronics customers are constantly on the lookout for devices and software that support a host of applications and features, and the MiniJam delivers a state-of-the-art portable multimedia device that will be celebrated by digital music fans and Visor users worldwide,'' said Bob Fullerton, Founder and President of InnoGear.

MiniJam is compatible with the Handspring Springboard(TM) external expansion slot, providing plug-and-play, fast and easy installation and use. Springboard modules offer a convenient and elegant way to attach hardware devices to the Handspring Visor handheld computer. Users can expand their Visor handheld to make it a music player, wireless modem or even a global positioning system.

``InnoGear has stepped up to the table and is now delivering a truly innovative product for the Springboard platform with its new MiniJam MP3 player,'' said Ed Colligan, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Handspring. ``We are extremely excited to see InnoGear deliver an MP3 player for Visor as it exemplifies the kind of application that is important to the broad consumer market.''

MiniJam, designed specifically for the PalmOS, is a state-of-the-art MP3 player for the Handspring Visor Springboard expansion platform and it provides users with an extensive multimedia experience. As soon as users install the MiniJam, a launch window on the Visor display will give them the ability to listen to music, view images/slide-shows or read an e-Book.

MiniJam includes high quality ear buds, a flexible pouch with belt clip, the full version of MusicMatch Jukebox, DC-IN power jack, and both Visor and desktop file management applications. It also comes pre-loaded with music so users can start enjoying the MiniJam immediately. It supports both Windows and Macintosh operating systems and is available in Ice and Graphite colors. It comes in 32MB ($199) and 64MB ($259) models.
