Voyetra Releases Hip Hop eJay 2 in North America

CD-ROM Enables Electronic Hip Hop Music Creation on any PC Desktop

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 2000--Voyetra Technologies, a leading manufacturer of PC software and hardware for the consumer and professional music markets, is now shipping Hip Hop eJay 2 ($39.95 estimated street price), the latest in the award-winning eJay series developed by PXD Musicsoft, Inc.

Hip Hop eJay 2 places the power of electronic hip hop music creation on any multimedia PC. Over 3,000 professionally recorded samples can be arranged and mixed on 16 stereo tracks, then played with real-time pitch altering. Custom samples can even be recorded, with final mixes output to .wav files (to post and share online, to convert to MP3 files, or to burn personal mix CDs).

``Hip hop fans can move and groove to their own musical masterpieces created with Hip Hop eJay 2,'' said Seth Dotterer, director of marketing for Voyetra. ``Whether accomplished mix masters or a novices in the world of digital music, everyone who loves hip hop and has a computer can easily make their own professional-sounding audio tracks.''

The main Hip Hop eJay 2 screen displays multiple samples from each of 10 color-coded categories in a scrollable window, from which sounds can be auditioned and then dragged-and-dropped onto any of 16 tracks. Each track can then be selected to deliver stereo, left only, or right only output (for panning effects). Users can also custom drum loops, as well as apply varying levels of echo, distortion, and other effects to samples. If someone wants to use a sample not included on the main CD, two options exist. He can either import a standard .wav file, or record his own stylings directly into the eJay program with an attached microphone.

Hip Hop eJay 2 requires a Pentium PC or equivalent, Windows 95/98 or NT 4.0, 2X CD-ROM drive, 16 MB RAM, 65 MB hard disk space, and a 16-bit DirectSound-compatible sound card (Turtle Beach Santa Cruz(TM) recommended). A microphone is required for recording custom samples.
