D-Link Releases Portable MP3 CD Player That Delivers 10 Hours of Music

IRVINE, Calif., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- D-Link, a leader in MP3 Technology, Digital Home and Digital Electronics, today launched a new MP3 CD Player that delivers up to 10 hours of digital quality music called the D-Link DMP-CD100. Representing the third generation of MP3 technology from D-Link, the DMP-CD100 uses CD technology combined with MP3 technology to deliver hours of no-skip continuous music. It recognizes both normal Audio CDs (CD-DA) and MP3 CDs (CD-R) created on a PC.

With its futuristic look and a compact size, the DMP-CD100 boasts a sleek anodized blue and silver finish that embodies the primary function buttons as they are displayed on the front panel directly under a large informative LCD display that is integrated into the front panel as well.

The DMP-CD100 plays any MP3 file burnt onto a CD-R disk, including files that are located in sub-directories. The MP3 CD Player has an integrated ten seconds of Electronic Shock Protection (ESP) system that provides skip free music for up to, incase of accidental bumping or shaking of the player.

The D-Link DMP-CD100 Portable CD/MP3 CD Player has two external output jacks, one for Headphones and one for Line Out. The Line Out can be used to plug the DMP-CD100 into an external amplifier, such as a home stereo system or an in-dash car stereo. The DMP-CD100's T.Digit button provides a convenient way to access MP3 tracks that fall into the higher numeric range. Users only need to press the T.Digit button then enter the track number for the song they want to hear and the player will jump directly to it.

The D-Link DMP-CD100 Portable CD/MP3 CD Player is a state of the art music solution for users with large MP3 music collections. Using a CD-ROM burner a user can burn up to 650 MB of MP3 files to a single CD-R and enjoy up to 10 hours of music. All of the features that are standard on a typical portable CD player are integrated into the DMP-CD100. Play modes include Repeat Track, Repeat All and using Program Mode up to 22 songs can be programmed and played in a specific order. Using Random Mode will create a play-list from an entire CDs worth of music. A Hold button will disable all other controls to stop accidental changes while playing.
