Sonigistix Seeking Strategic Marketing Partner/Acquirer

Maker of Award Winning, Proprietary, Flat-Panel Speaker Systems under Monsoon(TM) Brand Seeks Well Positioned Strategic Marketing Partner/Acquirer to Support Rapid Growth

VANCOUVER, April 17 /PRNewswire/ - Sonigistix, the first, high-volume manufacturer of flat-panel speaker products with exclusive PFT® technology, has announced an active search for a strategic marketing partner/acquirer to provide expanded capabilities for its rapid growth. The company has been shipping products under the Monsoon(TM) brand for more than 3 years and, due to increasing market acceptance, is projecting dramatic revenue improvements in 2001.

The Sonigistix 2001 business plan projects an 85% increase in sales over FY 2000. This growth will be fueled predominantly from increased sales of the Company's highly successful Monsoon® branded flat-panel multimedia speakers as well as rapid expansion of PFT® technology into other audio markets, including home theater, automotive and professional audio. ``Our marketing plan calls for PFT® technology to become an integral part of the audio experience wherever true, high quality sound at highly competitive prices are the requirement'' says Jim Balcom, President and CEO of Sonigistix. ``We feel that a strategic alliance with a company whose marketing and channel resources can better facilitate our impressive growth is an important and prudent next step in achieving this goal''.

Sonigistix Planar Focus Technology - PFT®

Unlike conventional speakers that rely on cone drivers, Sonigistix' PFT® flat-panel speakers have a light, flexible diaphragm that provides extremely fast transient response for unparalleled fidelity. Their unique dipole-radiating sound pattern creates a warm, pleasing ambiance, which allows for more realistic imaging, or placement of the sound source within the sound stage. The PFT® flat panel speakers are less than 1/2 inch thick, allowing for innovative industrial designs and placement in space sensitive applications.

At the January 2001 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sonigistix introduced a new line of Monsoon home entertainment products; each based on its proprietary, PFT® flat-panel technology. These home entertainment products received the ``Best of Show'' award from TechTV in the ``Specialty Audio'' category and an ``Innovations'' award by CES. Like Sonigistix' multimedia speakers, the new products-thanks to the company's proprietary manufacturing techniques-offer planar technology at a price far below traditional pricing.

Sonigistix has retained the New York City-based investment bank Heritage Capital Corp. to lead discussions with potential Strategic Partners. ``In what is a mature industry, Sonigistix is bringing truly unique technology and manufacturing capabilities to the table,'' says Victor Germack, President of Heritage Capital. ``To combine Sonigistix' capabilities with a company that already has significant channel resources represents a great opportunity for both companies.''
