TurtleRadio Debuts, Enabling Internet Streaming to the Turtle Beach AudioTron

Free AudioTron v2.0 Firmware Available Immediately via Download

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 2001--Turtle Beach(TM) today announced the immediate availability of TurtleRadio(TM), its Internet streaming service for use with the AudioTron(TM) home-networked digital audio appliance.

After a free v2.0 firmware update is installed (available from http://www.audiotron.net), any existing AudioTron will be able to play hundreds of Internet audio streams. TurtleRadio is also compatible with Turtle Beach's AudioStation® 5.0 software-based jukebox.

``TurtleRadio represents the latest evolution of home-networked audio. AudioTron owners can now enjoy live concerts, overseas sporting events, or hard-to-find music genres delivered direct to their living rooms -- programming unavailable via conventional radio,'' said Seth Dotterer, director of marketing for Turtle Beach.

Users can select from more than 150 pre-programmed stations available at TurtleRadio.com, and add custom stations that suit their personal interests.

Designed to organize and play an unlimited number of digital audio files stored on the owner's personal computer, as well as Internet audio streams, the AudioTron transmits and receives data via standard in-wall phone wiring (HomePNA 2.0) or an Ethernet 10BaseT network. With the included Voyetra® AudioStation® software, the PC becomes a whole house music jukebox, delivering audio to any room where the AudioTron is located. This includes MP3 and WMA files, as well as uncompressed WAV files. The AudioTron will not interfere with normal phone operation or DSL Internet service.

The North American news media have showered the AudioTron with praise. Accolades have come from all corners of the PC, entertainment, and audio industries, with positive reviews from the likes of Sound & Vision, PCWorld, Rolling Stone, C|NET, Wired News, and TechTV.

Turtle Beach is one of the world's leading PC audio solutions providers, working with more than 150 leading manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. In 2000, Deloitte & Touche named it the 26th fastest growing technology company in the metropolitan New York region. In addition to its OEM and retail sales, Turtle Beach makes its entire line of products available directly to consumers via its e-commerce Web site (http://www.turtle-beach.com) and customer service center (800/233-9377 or 914/966-0600).
