DTS Interactive SDK Now Available On Playstation®2 Developer Site

AGOURA HILLS, CA July 30, 2002 – Agoura Hills, CA - July 30, 2002 - DTS is now offering its interactive software developers kit (SDK) to game developers directly through Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s (SCEI) Web site for PlayStation 2 game developers. A pioneer in digital multi-channel audio for consumer electronics, DTS launched the DTS Interactive SDK last year to allow developers to create games featuring real-time interactive surround sound during game-play.

Simplifying integration for developers who use SCE's MultiStream, the DTS SDK is now also compatible with this free audio development tool for games. Official PlayStation 2 developers in the Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) regions can access the SDK on their territories' PlayStation 2 developer Web site.

"The availability of the DTS Interactive SDK through the PlayStation 2 developer site allows us to increase the level of service and support for our licensees," said Jon Kirchner, President and CEO of DTS. "We look forward to continue educating the gaming community on how integrating DTS real-time surround sound enhances the gaming experience."

The PlayStation 2 includes a DTS Digital Out feature, which enables real-time surround sound when playing a DTS-encoded game. There are currently four DTS-encoded PlayStation 2 titles available: SSX Tricky, NHL 2002, Sled Storm and Pirates: Legend of Black Kat (all from Electronic Arts.)
