Company to Showcase XA Line to Vast Array of Latin American Buyers |
| MILFORD, Pa.--(BUSINESS
WIRE)--Aug. 22, 2002--Altec Lansing® Technologies, Inc. the long-time leading provider of
PC Audio with more than 60 years experience as a speaker manufacturer, today announced its
widespread participation in LatinChannels IX, where the Company will unveil gaming
solutions tailored for introduction within the Latin American marketplace. The newly
introduced product offerings are expected to significantly increase the Company's presence
in Latin America over the next year. At the show, to be held at The Peabody Orlando in Florida from August 23 to August 27, Altec Lansing will highlight several of its speaker and headphone offerings, showcasing the products that deliver exceptional sound for a wide range of audio users. "We are excited to return to LatinChannels for the 3rd year in a row. Our participation last year rewarded us with the Best Computer Accessory award and this year we look forward to again meeting with the top distributor buyers, retail buyers and system builders to discuss our commitment and presence in Latin America," said Elizabeth Van Dyke, Altec Lansing's Director of Latin America. "Altec Lansing has a wide and expanding range of product offerings in Latin America and is heavily invested in the success of the market. Our new XA series will be of particular interest to Latin American buyers as the new line is transforming audio for gaming systems and is expected to capture additional market share with Latin American consumers & the gaming populous. XA Series Speaker Line Featured At LatinChannels, Altec Lansing will specifically highlight the new XA Video Game Speaker line, which is uniquely satisfying the unmet demand for better console video game sound. Altec Lansing's new XA products completely transform the typical TV, delivering the powerful, high- and low-frequency response gamers insist on. Designed for use with the latest and hottest video game consoles, including the Xbox®, GameCube(TM), and PlayStation® 2, the new XA line fills a market void by enabling game lovers to quickly and easily create a more robust video gaming environment at an affordable price. The XA line will also greatly improve the audio of TV shows and DVD movies for great home entertainment by reproducing frequencies that are often omitted from television speakers. The new XA line includes three different speaker systems to meet a range of needs and budgets. The XA series products were created for use with a television and/or game console system and work by drastically improving the weaker audio that is produced by traditional television speakers. In addition to gaming speaker systems, Altec will also show its headphones and headsets and a few of the Company's popular three-piece speaker systems (two speaker satellites and a subwoofer), thus demonstrating the breadth of quality audio products that the company manufactures. "LatinChannels is, quite simply, the most effective way for us to reach this many buyers covering this many countries in such a short timeframe," Van Dyke said. ""With a candid audience of decision makers at LatinChannels in addition to leading Latin publications, the stage is set for announcing our great product line-up and demonstrating our commitment to our Latin American partners."
