Over 50 Games Set to Support Creative's Environmental Audio Platform: New Environmental Audio Games Currently Set To Be Available During This Holiday Shopping Season
New Environmental Audio Games To Be Available By This Holiday Shopping Season

MILPITAS, CA - October 14, 1998 - Creative Labs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREAF), the leading provider of multimedia hardware for the PC, today announced that over 50 game titles are slated to ship this holiday software shopping season with support for Creative's Environmental Audio Platform. Creative's Environmental Audio technology adds powerful effects that can include reverb, echo, acoustic properties for room size and many other effects that place the game player in the middle of the action. Environmental Audio technology goes beyond 3D positional audio to create actual interactive environments in real time that deliver an action-packed realistic experience.

The list of 3D games supporting Creative's Environmental Audio standard continues to grow. Developers are using Creative's Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX) application programmer's interface (API) to include support for Environmental Audio technology. Currently over 50 EAX-based 3D game titles are slated to ship during the holiday season including hot new titles like Activision's Heavy Gear II, Bungie's Myth II, Electronic Arts's Sim City 3000, Madden 99, FIFA 99, Dreamworks' Trespasser, Ion Storm's Daikatana, Fox Interactive's Alien Vs. Predator, and many more. For a complete list of over 50 current or forthcoming EAX titles, please check Creative's Web site at www.soundblaster.com/sblive.
