iRiver America Announces Next Generation of Award-Winning MP3 CD Player SlimX

SlimX 400 Includes Premium Accessories Such as Custom Carry Case, Wraparound Headphones and Complete Car Kit

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- iRiver, the world's leading manufacturer of digital music handheld devices, today announced its next generation CD portable -- SlimX 400. The award-winning SlimX MP3 CD product line now features an all new stylish design packed with accessories appealing to discriminating consumers who value outstanding quality, functionality and style.

The SlimX 400 is iRiver's premier MP3 CD player and comes with an expansive accessories package including wraparound iRiver headphones, custom carrying case, four-line backlit remote control, power adapter, rechargeable batteries with built-in charger, external battery pack and a complete car kit for music on the road. The SlimX 400 also has a new auto-EQ option that adjusts to listeners' music and free software upgrades available at the iRiver website to future-proof listening capabilities.

According to new research from IDC, "MP3 Players Move into the Mainstream: Forecast and Analysis of the Worldwide Compressed Audio Player Market, 2001- 2006," worldwide shipments of compressed audio players will approach 207 million units in 2006, up from 15.2 million units in 2001.
