New Wireless Media product to be rolled out in CES |

technology, has planned to roll out a new generation of Media Communication products at
the annual CES exhibition in Las Vegas, starting January 9, 2003. The wireless media communication products are primarily for home use. Extending from its existing wireless AV sender product lines, Airwave will debut PC2TV-a media adaptor aimed at PC digital media conversion to home entertainment systems, Home Watchers -- a wireless surveillance system with DVR web server for Internet access, Wireless Digital Media -- a high quality digital 2.4GHz media distribution system for both audio and video applications, and 2.4GHz digital, 5.8GHz RF modules for OEM manufacturer to integrate. In response to the ever-increased needs for digital contents playback by living room appliances, such as MP3, DVD, and even PC-based Internet games, the PC2TV will transport the MP3, DVD title, graphics, Internet web-surfing, and PC games to living room TV and audio system for playback. By using a provided wireless keyboard and mouse, a PC hacker as well as casual PC user will be able to enjoy the rich digital contents of PC in front of a TV and Audio system. The Home watcher system allows 1, 2, up to 4 wireless cameras to be deployed and served by a DVR server, which provides surveillance picture storage, management, and local or remote retrieval through Internet. Its rich features make it able to serve both home and business needs: controlled motion detection, alarm by mobile phone or email, history editing, MPEG4 transcoding, just to name a few. The Wireless Digital Media is able to provide high quality media communications digitally through Airwave's 2.4GHz digital wireless modules. It works with existing 2.1, 5.1 DTS/AC3 audio system as well as legacy stereo system with analog or digital output. People will find it especially useful for second speaker system at home. The Wireless Digital Media is a true wireless Home Theatre Enabler. Airwave will like to share its core module products with OEM manufacturers who build various applications using the low cost 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz analog modules. In addition, the 2.4GHz broadband digital module can provide up to 5Mbps data rate at only a fraction of 802.11b cost.
