The finalists were announced November 13th by awards sponsor United Entertainment Media, and the winners will be revealed during the Surround Music Awards ceremony on December 11th, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The nominees for each category were selected by a panel of industry professionals from submissions by record companies, studios and recording artists.
