Sonic Focus ADRS(TM) Technology a Key Component in Intel(R) Audio Studio |
|
SAN FRANCISCO, Intel Developer Forum, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/
-- Sonic Focus, Inc. today announced that Intel(R) Audio Studio will
include Sonic Focus Adaptive Dynamics Refinement System(TM) (ADRS)
technology. Intel Audio Studio is a new digital-audio software
controller that manages a broad range of audio control capabilities
and will be available on Intel(R) Desktop Boards in the second quarter
of this year. "Intel Audio Studio underscores Intel's
commitment to provide world class audio solutions for our
customers," said Joel Christensen, Director of Marketing, Intel
Desktop Board operations. "Sonic Focus ADRS and Dolby Digital
technologies are key in providing improved audio quality and
hi-fidelity to Intel Desktop Board customers." Sonic Focus ADRS technology compensates for the
distortion and lack of clarity introduced by the compression process
in all digital file formats, including MP3 and WMA. By analyzing and
re-engineering the audio stream in real-time, Sonic Focus ADRS
dramatically improves the clarity, dynamic range and fidelity for all
digital sound. Intel Audio Studio will be available as a
software upgrade for mainstream Intel desktop board product line.
Intel Audio Studio will offer a host of premium audio features,
including noise cancellation, up to 7.1-channel output, individual
channel metering and analysis, multi-channel patch bay, DSP transport
system, and other features optimized to support the Intel High
Definition Audio specification. "Working with Intel in the development of
Intel Audio Studio validates our strategy and role as an OEM Enabler
of high-end audio solutions," said Tom Paddock, CEO and founder,
Sonic Focus, Inc. "Our years of experience in professional audio
and DSP engineering, combined with Intel, have produced a powerful new
feature for Intel(R)-based motherboards." Sonic Focus ADRS Technology Sonic Focus ADRS technology incorporates
advanced, non-linear adaptive processes that dramatically refine the
sound quality and user experience for any digital sound source. Sonic
Focus ADRS technology is built around an audio-specific expert system
that analyzes, corrects, and refines the compressed audio waveform in
real time to deliver a natural and realistic listening experience. Sonic Focus ADRS technology is presently
implemented on Intel Springdale/865 PC motherboards. Sonic Focus ADRS
technology also can be implemented in other PCs and laptops, digital
music players, digital stereo and satellite radios, telecommunications
and telephony, TVs, DVD systems, game consoles, and other consumer
electronics devices. About Sonic Focus, Incorporated Sonic Focus is a privately held audio refinement
technology licensing company. Based in Menlo Park, California, the
