| Yamahas Waveforce product range to include Sensaura support for EAX |
| The abiliies of the popular Yamaha DS-1 PCI audio chip have been further extended by Sensaura Technology to allow support for Creative Labs Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX ) The DS-1 chip which is used in the Waveforce soundcard product range is also sold to numerous motherboard and soundcard manufacturers throughout the world by Yamaha. "We at Yamaha are delighted to include Sensaura's EAX support on our Waveforce product range. This development reinforces our partnership and cements both Sensaura and Yamaha's position at the forefont of PC audio technology" commented Susumu Kawashima, of Yamahas XG Engineering and Marketing Department, Japan. Sensaura who presently license their 3D Positional Audio algorithms to over 65% of the PC audio chip market (including ESS and Cirrus Logic) have also received encouragement from Creative Labs for this latest achievement. "We are pleased to see Sensaura utilising EAXÔ capabilities. This validates EAXÔ as being a great mechanism for extending 3D audio. It also benefits the games development industry as they look for practical ways to implement enhanced 3D audio technology" said George Thorn , Director of Developer Relations for Creative Labs said last night. About Sensaura Sensaura Technology is at the forefront of audio research both in the PC and the consumer electronics market. In addition to 3D Positional Audio, Sensaura have developed other technologies most notably, Virtual Surround and Stereo Expander Technology.
