MINDMAKER, INC. ANNOUNCES GAME COMMANDER MX NOW SHIPPING

Enhanced Version of Voice Command Software for PC Games Now Available for Purchase, Upgrade

SAN JOSE, CA (December 15, 1999)-Mindmaker, Inc., a leader in the development of Intelligent Personal Assistants, Speech I/O Interfaces and
other Artificial Intelligence Technology, announced today that it has begun shipping Game CommanderT MX, an enhanced version of Game Commander that can operate simultaneously with voice chat software (chat software not included). Game Commander's exceptional voice command recognition allows PC gamers to say commands instead of using awkward and hard to remember keystrokes. Users of Game Commander MX no longer have to choose between controlling their game with voice commands and chatting with their friends during game play using software such as Roger WilcoT or BattleComT, because the two systems can now run simultaneously.

"The standard version of Game Commander has been very popular with both critics and consumers, but does not allow users to use voice chat while using Game Commander" explained Vicky Marlow, Director of Sales & Marketing for Mindmaker. "The ability to run Game Commander MX along with voice chat programs gives gamers the best of both worlds. Now they don't have to sacrifice communication with their fellow players to reap the advantages of voice control."

While giving users the flexibility to respond to all game situations in the fastest and most natural way, Game Commander allows the use of standard controls such as the joystick, mouse or keyboard for tasks like moving and firing. The voice commands can be used to change weapons, call the air traffic control tower for an emergency landing or tell the pit crew to "fill 'er up." Game Commander's speech recognition software understands commands without the need for training by the user-the user can pass the microphone to his sister and she can use it immediately, without training it to her voice.

Game Commander includes command templates for some of today's most popular games. Additional templates can easily be created for any current and future Windows® 95/98 games. New game templates are also available at www.gamecommander.com.

Game Commander MX is now available for downloadable purchase at www.gamecommander.com for an MSRP of $39.95. Registered users of the standard Game Commander can upgrade to Game Commander MX for $5 through December 31, 1999. After that date, the upgrade will be available for $10.
Also, while supplies last, the full package standard version of Game Commander with noise canceling headset microphone is available at the same price as downloading it at $29.95. Makes a great gift.
