MediaWorks `98 PC Media Playback Utility Ships With Diamond Multimedia's Monster Sound

1998-- Midisoft Corporation (OTC BB:MIDI) today announced that Diamond Multimedia Systems,
Inc. (Nasdaq:DIMD - news) will bundle three of its software
titles with its new Monster Sound® MX300 audio accelerator which ships to North American
customers this week, just in time for the busy holiday shopping season. This brings the
total number of Diamond sound cards to five that bundle Midisoft audio, music, and
Internet-related applications. The Monster Sound MX300 is the second audio accelerator
from Diamond to include Midisoft's MediaWorks `98 which enables users to easily
find, organize and playback most popular audio/video media files and audio CD's on their
PC's. Diamond will also include Midisoft's Studio Recording Session® and Internet Sound

The Monster Sound MX300, which features Aureal Semiconductor's Vortex 2 processor and A3D 2.0 positional 3D audio technology, is aimed at PC gamers and entertainment enthusiasts who crave and make use of the latest advances in sound card design. The Monster Sound MX300 has a DLS-compatible 320-voice wavetable to reproduce studio-quality fidelity. It also supports Dolby® Digital (AC-3) for playback of DVD titles using a virtualized 5.1 speaker set-up that recreates a home theater audio experience through two or four speakers.
