Leading-Edge Realistic Sound Experience Software to be Offered by RAD Game Tools

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1999--Intel Corporation today announced that it is licensing Intel's 3D Realistic Sound Experience (3D RSX) software to RAD Game Tools, a leading developer of game technology.
3D RSX is an audio software library that enables developers to incorporate realistic 3-D sound into applications without the need for special audio hardware. RAD will incorporate 3D RSX into its Miles Sound System and will extend the features and functions to meet the evolving needs of audio developers.

Intel 3D RSX, developed by the Intel Architecture Labs, is a Dolby(a) certified 3-D audio software library that enables developers to create a PC-based immersive 3-D sound experience without the need for special audio hardware. 3D RSX has been utilized by hundreds of developers in a variety of applications, including, games, Web sites and graphical environments.
