Sensaura supported Yamaha Waveforce 192 Digital PCI soundcard launched

1st February 1999 - Sensaura Limited, today announced the release of the new Yamaha Waveforce 192 Digital soundcard. The 192 Digital is yet another addition to the expanding range of Sensaura supported hardware that is currently already available throughout the global marketplace.

Sensaura 3D Positional Audio technology, which utilises the industry standard Microsoft DirectSound3D API, can now be found on PCs from a number of leading manufacturers including NEC, DELL, Compaq and Fujitsu.

In 1998 Sensaura technology was licensed by audio chip manufacturers, that according to Mercury Research, supplied 69% of the PC audio chip market. This figure is expected to increase over the next twelve months as PCI solutions replace the ISA standard further.

"The WaveForce 192 Digital is the most sophisticated member of the WaveForce family and is designed to meet the demands of today’s 3D PC games enthusiasts......that is why Sensaura’s cutting edge technology has again been chosen ahead of competitors", said Jim Corbett, Manager, Yamaha-Kemble Music (U.K.) Ltd

As-well as Sensaura 3D Positional Audio, other features include a digital output connector, an exceptionally refined digital to analogue converter, PCI bus architecture, down-loadable sounds, Yamaha's XG synthesiser and an exclusive physical modelling synthesiser, WaveForce 192 Digital further enhances the realm of PC sound beyond the known boundaries.
