Logitech Sounds Off At E3 With Preview Of Newest SoundMan Speakers

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 2000-- Logitech (NASDAQ:LOGIY; Switzerland:LOGN, LOGZ), international market leader in human interface devices that define the way people link to information in business, at home and online, has announced it is previewing the new SoundMan® multimedia speaker systems at the E3 tradeshow in Los Angeles. Three models -- SoundMan SR-30, SoundMan S-20 and SoundMan S-4, will be available this summer in retail outlets and at various Internet locations, including http://www.logitech.com. The flagship product, SoundMan® Xtrusio(TM) DSR-100, will be available in September.

SoundMan® Xtrusio(TM) DSR-100

Featuring digital surround sound design, SoundMan Xtrusio DSR-100 delivers 100 watts of theater-quality sound for movies and games. Utilizing patented LIMAD(TM) (Linear Magnetic Drive technology), this speaker system provides high-fidelity sound reproduction, from the deepest bass to the most soaring highs. Pricing and further details are not yet available.

SoundMan® SR-30

The SoundMan SR-30 speaker system, with an estimated street price of $79.95 (US), includes four satellite speakers and a subwoofer. The system produces four-channel surround sound that enhances the user's gaming realism. Its proprietary SoundTouch(TM) remote control features four-channel volume dials, an on/standby button, power indicator and headphone jack.

SoundMan® S-20

SoundMan S-20, with an estimated street price of $49.95 (US), is a three-piece speaker system that reproduces high-definition sound with solid bass. It also features the SoundTouch remote control, allowing users to sit back and enjoy their favorite CD/MP3 music. This speaker system is fully compatible with any portable music players.

SoundMan® S-4

Positioned as an entry-level speaker model, SoundMan S-4 has an estimated street price of $19.95 (US). This stereo multimedia speaker system aims to provide full-range sound and clarity for Internet surfing and general multimedia applications. It features a slim, contemporary design with a conveniently placed volume control and headphone jack.

All new SoundMan speakers include the Soundmobile.com(TM) CD-ROM. Powered by EMusic.com®, this CD-ROM offers a $10 value of MP3 songs, and a variety of digital music and multimedia software.
